Bathroom Water & Power Requirements
What are the water requirements for these portable restrooms?
Two options available:
- Hook up to a water spigot via garden hose
- Or fill the unit’s fresh water holding tank for usage (Client is responsible to refill water tank if needed)
What are the power requirements?
Two options available:
- Run off of a generator (Client is responsible to refill generator once the gasoline is empty)
- Or use a 110 volt outlet (or regular electrical plug-in)
Can Maryland Restroom Rentals be used where water or power is unavailable?
The trailers may be used where water and power is unavailable. The bathrooms utilize one 110 volt outlet and the water supply hooks into a normal water spigot (garden hoses work well). Our portable restrooms can be run off of a generator and the fresh water tank can be filled for usage as well. Once the fresh water tank is empty, the tank would need to be filled as needed and the generator would need to be filled with gasoline as needed.
Portable Restroom Questions
How are restroom trailers different from porta potties?
Our fancy bathrooms are luxurious and perfect for those special events where you want to provide your guests with a spacious suite to do their business. They all have running water in the sinks and flushing toilets. Check out our pictures under the "Styles" section to learn more about each trailer.
Are the portable restroom trailers climate controlled?
Our portable bathrooms do have heat and air-conditioning for the comfort of your guests.
How many portable restrooms do I need for my guests or patrons in attendance?
Consulting with us is the best way to evaluate an event’s needs. Our experience with past events will be the best way to figure out how many stalls are needed. Restroom capacity is quoted on what type of event is being held, the number of people attending, and the length of the rental. For example, a wedding with alcohol with 200 guests which will last 4 hours will have very different needs than an all-day family festival with 200 guests.
Please be realistic when estimating the number of guests expected so that tank capacity and “wait in line time” can be evaluated. Contact us to figure out the best solution for your event.
Where can the portable restroom trailers be placed?
Contact us to figure out the best area to place it. Ideally a bathroom trailer will be placed on a level ground with access that is not obstructed with low hanging branches, low hanging power lines or fencing. Our primary concern is safety, so a location should be chosen where the guests can see and get to the trailer easily, but without taking away the events appearance. For long-term rentals, placement is important for servicing and pick-up. A service truck must be able to get within 25 feet of the drain valve on the trailers.
What size are the restroom trailers?
The restroom trailers come in different sizes to accommodate every situation. Floor plans are available under the follow pages:
How do I decide which restroom trailer is the best for my event?
Maryland Restroom Rentals staff will help you decide which restroom trailer will be the best for your event. Considerations are number of guests, length of rental, and “wait in line time.”
How do I get a price or reserve a portable restroom trailer?
Visit our Contact Us page to call us or submit a form so we can get you a quote as soon as possible. The more information you can provide us, the quicker we can prepare the most accurate quote.
How much advanced notice do I need to rent a mobile restroom?
Maryland Restroom Rentals recommends reserving a restroom trailer as soon as it is decided that it will be needed. The bathrooms are on a first-come first-serve basis. In order to confirm a reservation, the deposit amount located on the contract must be paid. All quotes are subject to availability at the time of quote.
Do portable bathrooms have an odor?
Maryland Restroom Rentals strives to keep their restrooms as clean as possible. We clean out the waste holding tanks every time so that they do not accumulate an odor. We also use disinfecting and air freshening products to keep it clean and smelling pleasant. However, these trailers are bathrooms so they may develop an odor after extended use.
Does Maryland Restroom Rentals have handicapped accessible trailers?
At this time, we do not offer a trailer that is specifically designed for handicap accessibility.

When will the portable restroom trailer(s) be delivered?
Delivery times are arranged based on the timing of your event. If a time is needed outside of our standard timeframe, we can work with you to set up a time upon special request. There may be an additional charge for this service.
Does someone need to be available when the portable restroom trailer(s) are delivered?
It is not necessary to have someone on site for the trailer to be delivered. However, if there is a specific location that the trailer must be in, then it would be best for someone to meet the driver of the trailer.
Can I put a portable restroom under a tent?
Tents with a center pole that has ventilation through the canvas are typically fine. Other styles of tents may trap the venting fumes causing an unpleasant/unhealthy situation. Use under tents is subject to approval by your local inspectors.
